Designer Jobs description
A designer journalist uses the written word to portray what is, essentially, a visual medium in interesting, creative, entertaining, and imaginative ways. They need to understand the difference between fashion and shopping, taking into account wider and more diverse factors, including societal, cultural and economic contexts. The designer journalist reviews and keeps abreast of new ranges, designers, and trends. The designer journalist visits and builds contacts with relevant PR companies. He or she even has to attend press meetings on open days, trade and consumer shows. The designer journalist researches the design and fashion media. Designer journalists are likely to be employed by national or specialist newspapers and magazines. Freelance opportunities also exist, with an increasing number online.The job candidate should have good knowledge about the latest trends and design that are in vogue. He or she should cover interesting stories related to the arts. Any graduate or diploma holder who is an ace in design and good in communication is welcome for the job.
