Sheltering arms is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to support organizational strategic goals through a focus on providing written correspondence to include letters, press releases, web sitecontent, social media, journal and magazine articles, internal and external newsletters, marketing collateral materials, presentations, invitations, and copy for various forms of advertising and published reports.​ Job description Responsible for developing publication and content plans in support of organizational strategic goals and specific initiatives.​ Provide a final proof and edit on all written materials that are distributed to external constituents.​ Utilize high-level writing expertise to produce quality print pieces including articles, advertising copy, collateral, and other forms of written correspondence Responsible for timeliness of web content, including Sheltering Arms web siteand various forms of social media.​ Promote placement of Sheltering Arms’ stories in print and electronic media.​ Coordinate with news outlets to ensure timely dissemination of newsworthy materials.​ Conduct media relations activities including writing and disseminating press releases, fielding media calls and coordinating interviews.​ Collaborate with all Sheltering Arms’ entities to develop plan, conduct research and write content to be used in organizational publications, brochures, and video.​ Assist with events such as open houses, press and media events, and special receptions.​ Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with internal clients in order to develop concepts, content and messaging appropriate to specific communications goals.​ Conduct interviews, write articles, and edit copy for monthly internal newsletter and special purpose community and professional publications.​ Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or public relations.​ 3 to 5 yrs of healthcare marketing and/​or communication background Able to work efficiently and collaboratively with all members of interdisciplinary team, media resources, and internal /​external constituents Demonstrated written and spoken communication abilities Excellent organizational and detail follow-up skills Location:Richmond, VT 23059 Email ********
