Manager, Production - Internal Communications
About the Job
The Manager, Production is responsible for supporting the internal communications team by creating content for the company intranet and a newly developed employee channel as well supporting the team in employee events. The Manager, Production will also assist the department in administrative tasks, department organization, and operational responsibilities for internal communications initiatives. Will also work closely with the department to communicate and effectively position corporate initiatives and announcements internally.
Organize staff meetings and team activities
Manage and keep notes of deliverables documents for internal team and for employee channel
Track metrics and usage reports for the internal video player
Provide general office management including ordering supplies, IT/cell/blackberry issues, etc.
Assist with department managed events such as monthly internal broadcasts, training sessions, internal communicators conference and employee events
Responsible for other administrative duties as assigned
Create graphics and write stories for internal website, MyNBCU
Shoot, produce, and edit video content for internal channel and for the intranet
Manage playlists on the channel and assist in creating a daily schedule Manage and organize content and liaise with admins for myVIDEO, our internal video player
Manage editorial calendar for MyNBCU homepage
Collect data and feedback from employees after monthly broadcasts and promote broadcasts through setting up viewing locations and creating posters
Partner with all members of the department to execute all internal events including employee screenings
Monitor (daily) all links and content on MyNBCU to ensure accuracy
Suggest and write/produce feature articles and videos to drive a more active internal online community
Ensure internal brand consistency to establish visual consistency in our communication
Monitor the employee inbox, ensuring answers are provided within 48 hours Participate in, contribute ideas for the development of our new company-wide intranet site
Minimum of 3 years of production experience
Minimum of 1 year experience with MS Office, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop
Experience handling and shooting with video camera
Superb writing skills required

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in New York, NY
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
Experience in HTML and web design preferred Producing and editing stories for web and broadcast
Show a strong interest in television, media, news, and public relations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work at a fast pace while managing multiple tasks and maintaining a professional attitude
Effective presentation skills for meetings with senior executives
Superior organizational skills and strong multi-tasking abilities
Meticulous attention to detail, and ability to process and prioritize effectively
Proactive in keeping abreast of industry developments and company news
Strong appetite for learning and assimilating new information
Able to initiate projects and see them through to completion
Strategic thinker and a problem-solver
Degree in Journalism, TV/Film Production, English or Communications is preferred
