As an ENG Camera/Editor, the following is an outline of some but not all of the primary functions and responsibilities for this position: - Responsible for and taking ownership of the bureau's video production video production equipment and related IT gear by operating, maintaining and troubleshooting it as required; - Shoot, produce and deliver high quality HD video for various news programs and facilitate remote live shots over fibre optic and satellite feeds; - Knowledge of multiple formats, industry standards and technologies, including Sony XDcam, ENG/EFP lighting, editing on Final Cut Pro and/or Grass Valley Aurora Edit, compressing digital files and uploading/downloading them via eFTP or Aspera high speed transfer software; - Complete and file expense reports, and other reports as necessary in a timely and accurate manner; - Perform other duties as required. -At least five years of previous television production and newsgathering experience; - The ability to quickly and creatively edit, preferably using Final Cut Pro or similar non-linear editing equipment; - The ability to exercise sound editorial and technical judgment, work well under minimal supervision while working in a team environment, yet have fun on the job; - The ability to thrive under pressure and remain even-tempered in a high stress environment; - Passion for the craft of journalism, video production and storytelling of the highest caliber; - Post-secondary education in a broadcasting-related field would be preferred.
