Roles and Responsibilities:
. Collects, analyzes, and composes and edits technical information by working directly with Software and Systems Engineers, Management and the DoD customer.
. Creates clear, readable documents for delivery to customer and the team.
. Composes and edits technical documents including user's manuals, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
. Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, and other DoD customer deliverables and documents.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
. Bachelor's Degree in English or Journalism or related field and 4 years experience. 4 additional years of related experience/education can be substituted for the degree requirement.
. Microsoft 2007 and 2010 expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...)
. MS Visio
. Experience and ability to work within deadlines and under pressure
. Position requires all candidates to be US Citizens able to pass an extensive background investigation prior to hire.
. Must be able to obtain a Interim Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
. Software development life cycle experience
. Ability to communicate effectively with management and teammates
. CMMI experience
. MS Project
. Experience working with the DoD or DoJ Governments or on Government Contracts
. Experience in subversion or other document/change management tools
. Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance
