We are searching for a dynamic and seasoned Editorial Director to lead Oxygen’s Digital site. This position includes overseeing the day-to-day publishing, and managing a Project Manager, Design Lead, Editorial team, and an Emerging Media Producer. She/He will work with closely with the VP of Digital and other team members to increase audience engagement with a heavy focus on supporting the launch and runs of Oxygen's original shows.
Responsible for editing, assigning, and the production of Oxygen content. This includes creating relevant and sticky slideshows, articles, quizzes and other forms of content
Work on coordinating and programming sponsored content
Work with VP Digital to create editorial calendar
Monitor and analyze traffic and react to trends
Recruit experts, bloggers and other new voices
Collaborate with social marketing team to build engagement and audience through social media outreach
Represent brand through social media, and in PR and marketing events as needed
Collaborate with audience development efforts for user acquisition, retention and increased brand awareness
Work closely with Consumer Marketing on brainstorming digital ideas for new show launches, SEO/SEM executions, and external partnerships
Work on developing new tools and mobile apps
Work closely with Design Lead to ensure that all design is representative of the brand
Minimum 10 years publishing experience with a minimum of 5 years digital publishing experience. Daily digital publishing experience a must.
Strong understanding of SEO, traffic influences, newsletter trends and audience building strategies.
Firsthand experience of daily publishing in a CMS, such as Drupal or Wordpress
Natural innovator who keeps a sharp on eye competitors, audience trends and technological developments
Multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and working with cross-functional teams
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop and inspire a team
