Reports To: Director of Marketing & PR
The Marketing & PR Associate will assist in implementing all marketing strategies of the company including planning and research, campaign facilitation, and program management. This position will start immediately as part time and is projected to become full time by October 2012.

Ability to work individually and ability to handle self-driven projects efficiently.
Proficient in business writing, procedures, and correspondence.
Ability to establish good relations with all levels of employees.
Effective presentation of information and strong spoken language skills for responding to questions from managers, patrons, and the general public.
Project management for all program books and other print projects as assigned.
Assist in the creation of marketing materials including articles, presentations, brochures, press releases, newsletters, event announcements, etc.
Attendance at community and industry meetings and trade shows.
Assist in the maintenance of marketing and advertising calendars.
Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of social media and digital marketing activities.
Provide assistance in website content management.

Education and Qualification
Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience.
Experience in journalism and/or public relations a plus
Knowledge or previous experience with nonprofit organizations or the performing arts
Must have high level of computer proficiency in standard business software including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Knowledge of email marketing applications (Constant Contact, iContact, etc.), website analytics (Google Analytics or similar), social media analytics (Chartbeat, Sprout Social, Crazy Egg, etc.), social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), website content management systems (Wordpress, Joomla, etc.), and ticketing or CRM applications (ChoiceCRM, Tessitura, Salesforce, etc.) a plus.
