Journalist Internship Jobs
Interns are required to attend media events marked in the newsroom diary, on local newspapers, make regular calls to police stations, fire stations, etc. They spend time out of the office, following the news story and try to develop contacts and carry out interviews. The required skills looked for in a journalist intern is a \'nose\' for a story, ability of self-motivation and determination as well as the ability to compile a story quickly. The intern should also be persuasive enough to glean information for a good story. They should also possess good communication skills, keyboard skills, and sometimes shorthand to jot down important and vital information which can relate to the creation of a story.
Those graduates who have scored above average and who have excelled in their journalistic studies are hired impromptu as an intern.
