International Journalism Jobs

International Journalism Jobs are an interesting opportunity for journalists who are interested in travel and covering hard hitting stories. There are basically two kinds of international journalists. The well-paying and comfortable international journalism jobs are found in developed countries where the journalists have to cover financial and other economic news along with the occasional political coverage. They are employed by the economic news agencies of their respective home countries.

The other one is working as a reporter in developing countries and frequently in war-zones and conflict areas (think of Darfur and Congo). This is where the hard-hitting gritty news reports come from. Journalists in these places have to be able to handle rough and violent situations and have to do without many of the things that most people in developed countries take for granted. Individuals who speak other languages are also at an added advantage when it comes to international journalism jobs. Knowledge of Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and French is a big advantage when it comes to working in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
