Magazine Journalism Jobs
Magazine journalism jobs are usually divided into two categories: magazines for professionals e.g. business and technical journals and those magazines intended for the general public. There are various kinds of journalists in both categories of Magazine journalism jobs, ranging from beginners who do the entire grunt work to editors who supervise the final product. The positions include titles like senior editors, associate editors, and editorial assistants.
This is true for big magazines, but in smaller magazines the editor has to do multiple tasks and the same is true for reporters who have to cover multiple types of stories. The basic requirement to enter Magazine journalism jobs is to have a degree in journalism or major in English. In more specialized magazines such as in business or technical magazines, graduates from the relevant fields are preferred, although they too need to have a strong command of the language and know basic journalism guidelines.
