Description --- Title: KGOUHost / Social Media Coordinator Reports to: KGOU Program Director KGOU Radio, Oklahoma City KGOUpublic radio is looking for a new on-air voice to greet afternoon listeners inthe Oklahoma City metro area. Our next local All Things Considered host will be an engaging announcer andnewscaster with a conversational on-air sound. This person will also possesssharp news instincts and strong storytelling skills, with an ability to informand entertain KGOUu2019s second largest weekday audience. Theother half of the job will be dedicated to being KGOUu2019s voice on social media.Weu2019re looking for a self-starter who can take a creative approach to socialmedia, help reporters elevate their online stories, and manage a live blogduring breaking news situations. KGOU hasa strong tradition of local, state and regional news coverage, and the new Host/ Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in shaping our on-air sound. , including 8 Oklahoma Associated Pressu201cSweepstakes Awards.u201d KGOU stories are regularly heard on NPR, and the All Things Considered host will becalled on to file national spot news. The successful candidate will also be expectedto find audio for newscasts, update newscast stories, and occasionally serve asemcee/station representative at KGOU events.
