The Marketing Services Center Content team is looking to hire a Marketing Content Writer who will be responsible for generating content relating to IBM business units, such as emails, social tiles, brochures, web copy, ebooks and other deliverables that maintain adherence to IBM Style and legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities of the IBM Content Marketing Writer
Develop consumable content that is accurate, engaging and relevant for IBM target audience, focusing on messaging and understanding of project goals, using short-form writing style
Collaborate with IBM team to establish creative concepts and copy
Manage content revision process with various IBM stakeholders
Proactively communicate with team to provide status updates and resolve issues
Track metrics to gauge success of content and regularly report to IBM team, making recommendations to optimize content as needed
The Content Marketing Writer should
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a deep understanding of how to develop compelling short-form B2B content across multiple channels
Demonstrable and varied writing experience, preferably in a marketing environment
Have track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
Exhibit the aptitude to prioritize and efficiently manage workloads from multiple work streams with deadlines
Understand and apply IBM social business, style and legal guidelines
Demonstrate the ability to research, learn and communicate about emerging technology trends and technologies
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Work independently and as a member of a team
Adapt and learn new things
Possess strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills and leadership capabilities
Knowledge of computer technology, software information and technological trends is preferred
Knowledge of Adobe, Slack and Agile methodology is also preferred
This role is located in IBM offices in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3 years experience writing for technical and business audiences
Demonstrated research abilities on emerging technology trends and technologies including security, artificial intelligence and cloud computing
3 years experience in short-form writing: B2B blog posts, ebooks, online articles, short how-tos, Adwords copy, outbound lead generation emails, social media writing
3 years experience in multichannel copy experience including web, trade show dress, social, print and video scripting
Experience as part of a content-focused marketing content delivery team, either in-house or agency
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Degree in Journalism, English, or Digital Communications strongly preferred
Knowledge of computer technology, software information and technological trends
Knowledge of Adobe, Slack and Agile methodology
