Responsible for the development of graphic design
concepts and consultation on brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and all
promotional items used by the facility. Assists Director with determing and maintaining
graphic brand standards for the organization. Consults with PR and Marketing
staff and department representatives on design components of strategic
marketing materials. Responsible for creating corporate branding standards, and
for maintaining the integrity of corporate logo and print identity. Coordinates
design efforts of appropriate outsourcing agencies. Develops and produces Mercy's
secondary print advertising and corporate sponsorship promotional materials.





 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        
Oversees daily workflow of design projects

·        
Provides leadership to design team and serves as a liaison between design
team and Director

·        
Assists Director in creation and adherence to brand graphic standards

·        
Assists Director in overseeing budgets, software and hardware needed for
design team

·        
Assists with performance standards and evaluations of design team

·        
Creates design elements and art production to fulfill marketing and
communications goals and strategies.

·        
Consults with departments, and PR/Marketing staff on design standards of
all print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, maps and other
corporate projects.

·        
Serves as lead creative design team member in implementation of marketing
and communications plans.

·        
Creates, designs and produces advertisements and logo identity art.

·        
Assists with Mercy Administration in developing presentations, reports
and visual displays.

 

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

·        
Coordinates proof copies for approval, makes alterations, checks proofs,
supervises press checks. 

·        
Represents department at meetings, functions and events where public
relations and creative design input is appropriate. ','!*!MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES REQUIRED:

·        
Bachelor's degree in commercial art/graphic art.

·        
Four years experience in design and production art.

·        
Demonstrated ability in computer design and desktop publishing--Quark
