Seventy-five Newspaper Jobs Cut at the Charlotte Observer

North Carolina newspaper the Charlotte Observer plans to reduce its workforce and let go of 75 jobs.
The publishers of the paper announced that this will be their third reduction in five months, and cites declining ad sales for the cuts.
Spokesperson Ann Caulkins said that nine percent of the current staff will be let go through voluntary buyouts, with a target deadline of October 3.
