Journalism Specialist Jobs

The specialist acts as the journalistic contact for a private organization, handling all things related to media interest and press development. Their work includes primarily of answering enquiries and also to enquire about vital information of their field. They are also responsible for writing press releases etc. The specialist has to monitor and liaise with the media and arrange press conferences, news briefings, media interviews etc. The specialist has to attend committee meetings and keep up to date with current issues and public opinions. He may also accompany senior staff or senior official or minister on visits. The work of the specialist includes a broader range of activities with employers ranging from various charities to event organizers. He should be adept in conducting media enquiries through junior journalists and arranging interviews and press conferences. His or her duties may also include working with a team to stage a large event, such as a music festival.

The requirements for the profile of the specialist are:
- A Bachelor\'s degree in journalism or media is required. A master\'s degree is welcome.
- About 4-5 years of experience in a media agency, with an international advertising firm or journalism for newspapers or TV is the criteria.
