It is the job of an editor to work in coordination with the news editor to make sure that the broadcasting of news is done on time and in accordance to the prescribed format.   • Take on the additional duties and responsibilities, when the situation demands.
  • Keep up-to-date with the accurate records of the work done in the past.
  • Create a style guide and make sure others work in that style.
  • Ensure that the stories covered are fair, accurate and balanced.
  • Check for the multiple sources of information that can get an editor a true story to cover.
